Publishing a correction or retraction

If an error is found after publication, do not change the article silently.

1. Open the published article in Production.
2. Under Corrections & retractions, choose Correction, Expression of concern or Retraction, write the notice and publish it.

The notice appears at the top of the article page and on the journal's Corrections & retractions page. A retracted article is clearly labelled but stays online, as COPE recommends.
