Paid yearly in advance
Pay online by UPI, card or net banking through Cashfree, or by bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS). Access is extended as soon as the payment is confirmed.
GST tax invoices
Prices exclude GST. Your invoice shows CGST+SGST or IGST according to your place of supply, and your GSTIN if you give one, so you can claim input tax credit.
No lock-in
Your domain and your data stay yours. Cancel any time; the journal stays live until the end of the paid year and you can export everything.

How do I get started?

Do I need to install anything?
No. JournalEnv is a fully managed platform (software as a service): we run the servers, updates, security and backups. You and your editors only need a browser.
How is JournalEnv different from self-hosted journal software?
Self-hosted journal software is installed, hosted and updated by the journal or its IT team, and it serves many journals well. JournalEnv is a ready platform run by us, so there is no server, plugin or upgrade to manage, and indexing features are set up from day one. The team behind it has completed 200+ journal platform upgrades, and built JournalEnv so journals never need to plan one.
Why must the journal have its own domain?
A journal’s address is part of its identity: indexes, DOIs and readers expect it to be permanent and to belong to the journal. JournalEnv is the technology provider, so journals are published on their own domain (e.g. www.your-journal.org or journal.university.edu) and our address is used only for private previews.
We do not have a domain yet. What now?
Build the journal in preview meanwhile. Buy a domain in your name from any registrar, and we guide you through connecting it — ask through the help desk or the contact page.
Can you move our existing journal to JournalEnv?
Yes. Our team can bring over your issues, articles, PDFs and metadata from your current platform or website as a quoted service. Contact us with your journal’s address.
What is the difference between Starter and Essential?
Starter is a free, private preview for setting up and testing — it is not public or indexed. Essential publishes the journal on its own domain, visible to search engines and indexes, with up to 150 submissions a year. Professional adds DOIs, author payments, similarity checks and unlimited submissions.
Is it suitable for indexing (DOAJ, Google Scholar, Crossref)?
Every live journal gets validated OAI-PMH, Google Scholar and Dublin Core tags, sitemaps, and Crossref deposits for DOIs. Being accepted by an index still depends on your journal meeting its criteria — no platform can promise indexing.
Who owns the content and data?
You do. Articles, manuscripts and user data belong to your journal. You can export your whole journal at any time, and we never sell your data.
How does billing work?
Plans are per journal and paid yearly in advance, by UPI, card, net banking (Cashfree) or bank transfer. You receive a GST tax invoice. See the refund and cancellation policy for details.
Can authors pay article charges online?
Yes. Connect your own Razorpay, Cashfree or PayPal account; payments go straight to you, and authors receive invoices in your journal’s name.
How do I get help?
Customers open a request from the Help centre in their dashboard; everyone else can use the contact form or write to our support email. We reply within one working day.
