Getting indexed: Google Scholar, OAI-PMH and DOAJ
What JournalEnv does for you and what indexes still check.
Updated Oct 20, 2026 · 1 min read
Once your journal is live, JournalEnv provides:
- Google Scholar tags on every article page
- An OAI-PMH feed for DOAJ, BASE and other harvesters (your journal's address followed by
/oai) - Sitemaps and structured data for search engines
What indexes still decide
Being accepted by an index depends on the journal: its policies, peer review, editorial board, publishing history and ethics. No platform can guarantee indexing. Open Journal settings → Indexing → Requirements checklist to see what your site already shows and what is still missing, then read each index's current guidelines before you apply. See The indexing requirements checklist.
