Changing your email address

Where your sign-in email is changed, and why you confirm the terms again.

Updated Oct 22, 2026 · 1 min read

Your email address is how you sign in, and where we send codes, invoices and notices.

If you are the account holder

The account holder (the person who ordered JournalEnv and pays for the plan) signs in with their Altechmind account, so their email here is the one in that account. Change it at my.altechmind.com: it updates in JournalEnv the next time you sign in, and we tell your old address. It cannot be changed in your JournalEnv profile.

If you are on the team, or a journal’s author or reviewer

The publisher’s team on JournalEnv, and a journal’s authors, reviewers and editors, sign in with a password. To change your email:

  1. Open your Profile.
  2. Enter the new address under Your details, type your current password and click Save.
  3. Open the confirmation link we send to the new address.

We also tell your old address about the change, so you notice at once if someone else did it. If you did not make the change, choose a new password with Forgot password? on your journal's sign-in page and open a support request straight away.

Why you confirm the terms again

When you order a journal, you accept the terms with a code sent to your email address. That record shows who accepted, and where the code went. After an email change, we ask you to confirm the terms once more with a code sent to the new address before your next order or payment. Your earlier acceptance stays on record unchanged.

Lost access to your old address?

Open a support request. For your security, the JournalEnv team checks who you are before changing an address for you, and records why it was changed.
