Who uses an Altechmind account?
Only the account holder, who ordered JournalEnv and pays for the plan. The team and the journal’s users keep their own sign-in.

JournalEnv is a software platform for journals, by Altechmind.
The account holder does
The account holder is one person: the person who ordered JournalEnv and pays for the plan, usually the publisher or journal owner. On the sign-in page they choose I’m the account holder and sign in, or create their account, with their Altechmind account at my.altechmind.com (we email a code, so there is no password). JournalEnv receives only their name and email address. Only the account holder pays, changes the plan and sees invoices, and their support requests are answered by the Altechmind team.
Everyone else doesn't
- The team (journal managers, editors, publisher staff and JournalEnv staff) choose I’m on the team and log in with their email and password. They don't see billing: the page shows who the account holder is, and only the account holder can raise questions about billing, the plan or the account.
- Authors, reviewers and readers sign in on the journal's own site, as before.
Their accounts and details stay in JournalEnv: we never move them to Altechmind or contact them for our own purposes.
A new account holder
If the account holder changes (for example, they leave their institution), open a support request. The Altechmind team changes it for you; it is never done from the team's side.
