Connecting your own domain
Add a DNS record and the journal moves to your address.
Updated Oct 20, 2026 · 1 min read
Your journal is published on its own domain. You need a domain you own, or your institution's permission to use an address on its domain, such as journal.university.edu.
Steps
- Go to Journal settings → Domain and enter the address, e.g.
www.your-journal.org. - The page shows the DNS record to add: a CNAME record for your address pointing to
journalenv.com. Log in where your domain is managed (your registrar or your institution's IT team) and add it exactly as shown. - Come back to the Domain page. DNS changes can take a few minutes to a few hours; the page shows when the domain is verified.
- HTTPS is set up automatically.
